Terms of Service

The ground rules for using macX and contributing useful Mac gaming information.

Effective November 2, 2026

Using macX

These terms govern your use of the macX website at www.macx.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to accept these terms or have the appropriate permission from a parent or guardian.

macX provides a community catalog of native Apple Silicon games and user-submitted performance information. It is an independent service and is not affiliated with Apple, Google, game publishers, or game stores.

Your account

Use account information you are entitled to use, choose an appropriate public username, and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not impersonate another person or access an account without permission.

You may sign in using the methods offered by macX. Linking an external sign-in provider must be completed through the account-confirmation process. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Contributions and acceptable use

Submit genuine performance observations and describe the actual Mac, graphics settings, test conditions, and measurement method. Label estimates honestly. Do not invent measurements, submit spam, harass others, or use the service for unlawful purposes. Do not submit passwords, personal information about others, malware, or content you lack permission to share.

You retain any rights you have in your contributions. You grant macX a nonexclusive permission to store, display, format, and use those contributions to operate the community database and its performance comparisons. Public contributions may be viewed, shared, and indexed by others. You can edit or remove your own reports using the site's controls; copies made by third parties may remain outside our control.

Do not circumvent account protections, overwhelm the service, or attempt to obtain private account information. Administrators may review, correct, restrict, or remove entries and accounts to address abuse, errors, security concerns, or violations of these terms.

Performance information and purchases

Community measurements describe particular hardware, software, settings, scenes, and test dates. Results can vary. A rating is not a guarantee that a game will achieve the same performance, remain supported, or work with every storefront edition. Native-support research and release information can become outdated.

Review the game's current requirements and storefront information before purchasing. Purchase links take you to independent stores or publishers. macX does not sell the linked games or process those purchases; pricing, licenses, payment, refunds, and support are handled by the relevant seller.

Availability and responsibility

We may change features, correct information, or suspend access when necessary to operate or secure the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free information.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, macX is provided as available without a guarantee of suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, sign-in, Mac configuration, and performance-report information is handled, including how to request account or data deletion.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. If you no longer agree, stop using the service and contact us about account closure.
